For example:

Keith Wester
In Hollywood Keith "Mr. Magic" Wester was the real deal. Google his name and you'll find a whole page of references. He won an Emmy and was nominated for an Oscar six times. With more than 2,500 commercials under his belt he also acted in four movies (remember him as Dean Danger in Rat Phink a Boo Boo?) (I missed that one too) and produced two. He well known and respected, throughout the movie industry by producers, directors and some of the biggest stars in the business, for his innovations in sound recording. Keith is credited for more than 50 movies from 1968 through 2002.  Frankie and Johnny,    Thelma and Louise,    Waterworld, Body of Evidence,    Indecent Proposal,    Waterworld,    G. I. Jane,    The Rock,    Runaway Bride, Mouse Hunt,    Joe versus the  Volcano,    Armageddon,   The Perfect Storm, Air Force One and The Princes Diaries  are just some of the great movies of our time that Keith was responsible for for sound and sound design. And, his is the voice on our class movie.

Dick Cutler
The brakes on an old truck gave out and it started going downhill toward a crosswalk filled with children going home from school.  Dick chased the truck, jumped on the running board (a real old truck), grabbed the steering wheel and was able to turn the truck just in time to save many young lives.  But, in turning the truck away from the children, he didn't see the tree the truck crashed into right where he was standing and holding onto the steering wheel. There's a hero for you.

Al Anthony, Teacher  4/15/07
He taught History, and was one of the many teachers we young people liked.
I don't think he thought of us as kids, more as young Americans whom he talked to with respect for us, not
talking down. He was definitely a nice guy.

Kay Boyer Simmons
We enjoyed shipmate  Kay Boyer Simmons on our reunion cruise and will miss her.
